Sapele pen blanks make beautiful writing instruments for gift giving to family, friends, executives or yourself. Lot of 5, 3/4" square 5 1/4" long.
Sapele has an interlocking grain, often being wavy, with a fine texture and nice luster. Sapele turns nicely. I have turned some of this sapele to create some pens. The grain is really prominent and makes elegant pens. I gave them to coworkers for administrative assistants day and they loved them.
I have applied mineral oil to one to show the beautiful grain of this wood. The one with the mineral oil is not included in this lot.
